Age Guidelines For Group Courses

Yamaha Music Education Centre's age guidelines have recently been revised. Age guidelines exist to ensure children begin our courses at the most appropriate time educationally and developmentally. Our experience has shown that when children enter too early they can experience difficulty further into the course as the skills they require are not as strong.

Music Wonderland Course

• To enter MWO for T1 2011, students must be 3 before the 1 August 2010
• To enter MWO for T2 2011, students must be 3 before the 1 October 2010
• To enter MWO for T3 2011, students must be 3 before the 1 January 2011
• To enter MWO for T4 2011, students must be 3 before the 1 April 2011

Junior Music Course

• To enter JMC for S1 2011, students must be 4 before the 1 August 2010
• To enter JMC for S2 2011, students must be 4 before the 1 January 2011

Young Musicians Course

• To enter YMC for S1 2011, students must be 6 before the 1 August 2010
• To enter YMC for S2 2011, students must be 6 before the 1 January 2011

Violin, Guitar, and Drums Lessons

• To enter Group Violin, Group Guitar, or Group Drums for S1 2011, students must be 9 before the 1 February 2011
