Junior Music Course

Junior Music - Children Aged 4 to 6

No matter what direction your child may take in the future, the musical skills developed in this course are a foundation they will cherish.

Through rapid advances in their sense of hearing, children at the ages of four and five absorb and retain sounds better than at any other time in their lives. This is the perfect time to start music lessons, as children can learn music as naturally as they do language – through listening and imitating the sounds in their immediate environment.

In the Junior Music Course the emphasis each lesson is on musical sound and the development of musical sensitivity. Children experience music before being introduced to music notation, just as they learn to speak before understanding the written word. Our approach begins with listening, followed by singing and playing, and then reading and writing.
